Brunoise (noun.)(pronounced 'Broon-Wahz') A culinary knife cut in which the food item is first julienned and then turned a quarter turn and diced again.
I didn't intentionally set out to create a quasi-cohesive set of songs, but the idea behind 'Brunoise' was formulated after I noticed that I had often been taking samples from a vast library of pop culture gems, chopping them up or mangling them beyond recognition, and then integrating them into new pieces of music.
